Yale Smart Door Lock Integration with Home Assistant
2 min readOct 29, 2022
A quick tutorial on how to integrate the Yale Smart Door Lock YDR30GA with Home Assistant. I am using this door lock on my main gate and I want to be able to control remotely from my phone with Home Assistant automation and I don’t want to buy additional hardware like Yale Connect Bridge for this.
What you need to prepare
- Rooted Android phone — for my case, I am using my old Samsung J Prime SM-G610F.
- Install the Yale Access app and create an account.
- Home Assistant server with bluetooth. I am using Raspberry Pi 4.
Once you have successfully rooted the phone and installed the Yale Access app, go to this location /data/data/com.august.bennu/shared_prefs and find the PeripheralInfoCache.xml.
Open the PeripheralInfoCache.xml with text editor and find the value of key and slot.
